Marjory Potter and ...

the Mad Person With Vendetta Against Hausmeister

Not such a catchy title, but 'twill suffice...

There is indeed at least one unstable individual residing in our block who has a serious grudge against our Hausmeister. There is nothing unstable about feeling deep and unfriendly thoughts about our Hausmeister as he is a fairly grim person although, in substance, probably a very good Hausmeister who gets things fixed and keeps things clean whilst being rather contemptuous of his employers (that would be the tenants) in general. He doesn't 'get' foreigners and can be rather shouty (he has only actually shouted at me once, but this is his preferred mode of impressing his winning arguments upon people), but he isn't evil. I can fully understand why someone would think he was above himself, a tool, a ... whatever, but to invoke the full wrath of cosa nostra upon him... um... Well, the nature of events point more to cosa mia in their patheticness, except I hope he doesn't think it's anything to do with me...

The curious part is that the majority of people in our block are a) older or b) own their own flats, the majority of the rest renting them directly from the owner. I haven't noticed any moody teenagers, drunken students or disgruntled Anarchists even coming to visit let alone living in the building, which leads me to conclude that we have had an outbreak of Hell's Grannies trashing and vandalising in odd and oblique ways which are annoying for the rest of us. Ho hum and fiddle-de-dee.
